UBUNTU -- THE MOST POPULAR LINUX DISTRO

Ubuntu Linux was created by Mark Shuttleworth in October 2004, and has taken the
entire Linux world by storm. It is based on Debian, so that it has access to the
large repository that Debian has, but the programs are much more up to date.

Here is the list of the directories or folders that you will see in
Ubuntu Linux:

MAIN INDEX
ftp://ftp.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists --- Description of programs.
ftp://ftp.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/indices --- Various indices of the site.
